Would have rated higher if the app was not littered with ads.

I hate ads, but just ignore that I hate them because I feel the app delivers accurate weather. However, I finally uninstalled the app because I am not going to sit and watch an app when checking the weather during severe weather. So I changed to a different station that allows me to see the radar immediately during severe weather without having to view an ad. I understand the point of ads, but make them smaller on the screen or do something for quicker viewing during severe weather!

The app just added ads with video and sound you have to sit through to access weather information. No thanks. Finding a new app.

I am tired of all the ads in the app now. It didn’t use to be this way. It’s getting so annoying that I’m about ready to uninstall it!

There’s no reason for an auto video ad that starts every time. This app is annoying, if you x out for a split second it starts over. It’s a weather app, stop the ads.

I have been using the app for many years and have enjoyed it. I have reached my limit with the ads. Open, watch an ad. Click in the radar, watch an ad. It is too much. I am sick of it. I spend 50% of my time watching ads. Life is too short for me to fund your app with my eyeballs.

App shows splash screen, starts an auto ad, that’s it, nothing else. It freezes. Totally useless app. Got updated version without the Honda splash ad - it worked. The Honda ad returned yesterday, and guess what it no longer works. Glad to see the WKOW app is more interested in showing an ad than having a working app. As I said, totally useless app.

Needs an update for iOS 17 support so the app doesn’t freeze and the ad thanks

App won’t open on my iPad. It freezes on the Honda add. What happened? I used to use this app several times a day. What a BUMMER!

...you'd think 30 minutes from now wouldn't be all that hard. Not sure where the app gets it's data but it's not very good. Looked at the predicted radar and it showed no rain for hours. 30 minutes later it's pouring.

So far this is my best-found replacement for Dark Sky, but we really really need dewpoint on the extended hourly forecast. Would that be so hard to add?

I’ve used this app for years. Was Good up until recently. Now I get notifications for area 25-30 miles away. And that’s not what I need. I need immediate area that my family lives in. Not “Lightning detected 28.6 miles away”

The ads last soooooo long, otherwise it’s good

This used to be a really good app. The forecasts were accurate and the interface was easy to use. Now it won’t run on my iPad Pro (if freezes on the GHC ad that comes up, although it still works on my iPhone) and it embarrasses me when I’m in public when it never used to. I often check the weather when I’m out, in a restaurant, with friends, whatever. What used to be a silent app now BLARES an advertisement when you least expect it. Having dinner in a restaurant, or sitting in a waiting room for a dental appointment one hardly wants to start BLARING an advertisement for something from their iPhone. I never know what the advertisement is for because I quickly exit the app in order to silence it. This is horrible and I will no longer be using what was once was a great app. The least you could have done was give users a chance to buy the app for $5 or $10 bucks (or charge a minimum monthly fee like 50 cents) in order not to have ads. Or give them a heads up you will be having loud ads on your app when the uses least expects them. I’ll probably change my 6:00 pm viewing to a different channel than 27 as well. Fool me once…

Obnoxious app. An ad pops up for Steinhafels and a video plays. Then it gives you a button for more info. The x out at the top doesn’t work. And that is it. Stuck on the screen ad.

After all the years using the app I’m finally sick of it. Pros: good forecast, detailed map Cons: LONG start, must view their splash for a couple seconds THEN a GHC ad for a few more seconds EVERY TIME IT STARTS. I got used to it but it’s still very annoying. Now, ads pop up randomly without tapping any ad on the screen, with sound (usually loud).

Title says it all. New pop up ads within the app make it unusable. As finishes and cannot actually see the weather. Convinced me to use another app.

Useless now.

The last update made the app not work on my iPad anymore. All it does is splash the start then the GHC ad and freezes there. Deleted app reinstalled still samething. Is lower than 1 star now

I used to love this app. I removed it and now use the channel 15 app because you have to many adds now on the app. Goodbye 27

There’s bugs in the new update. Won’t allow to follow me on ipad. If this worked correctly I would have gave 5 stars.

On both their website and app you cannot watch a video for more than 20 seconds without it crashing. It can’t be that hard in 2020 to post a video that works. Great weather station but if you miss it live you can’t find working videos anywhere online

The content of the app is great for local weather but I just can’t take the long opening ads on any more. Even if you close for a few seconds you have to look at the GHC ad again (and to this day And after day the hundreds of time I’ve opened the app I have no idea what the cartoon is trying to convey.., a tooth? I think dentist every time I open it.) now you’ve added a second one with what I guess is your meteorologist? Looks like an ad for a casino. I’m trying channel 15’s weather app.

This app has a nice MAP which is great for viewing and clarifying weather status HOWEVER, it is REALLY BAD..with commercials. No options to subscribe in order to avoid commercials. Very disappointing. Will drop this App in favor of 15 Weather Authority App, which is without commercials and much better because of that...also still free....

I generally love this app... Except HEY DEVELOPERS! if you tell me there is a tornado or severe weather WARNING, how about NOT first making me watch an ad??? I really want to first READ the warning and find out what is bearing down on me. I'm thinking. "How can I prevent injury or death" not "Maybe I need different health coverage?." SURELY your app knows if I am in a severe weather zone. Could you maybe make THAT the priority? I'm in a severe thunderstorm warning, and I actually DO have GHC... should I mychart this to Member Services? Or should I take shelter? So hard to decide!

I had the same problem of having to re-boot 27stormtrack and not getting it to open. My solution (that worked!!) was to delete the app, wait a while, and then go into the app store and re-load it from icloud. This DID work and I have 27stormtrack opening up again!!! Try it.

I use this app religiously and have never had an issue, until today. It keeps booting me out of the app. I can manage to stay on the app long enjoy to see the insurance ad and then it just kicks me completely out. I’m running the most recent update and even restarting my phone hasn’t changed anything. PLEASE FIX IT!!!!

This is a really good app and I don’t see why the rating for it is low. It shows me everything I want and need to see for my current location and other locations as well. I recommend this app for people that want to stay safe when traveling and don’t want to be one of those people that have no clue what the wether is.

Can't change the orientation for iPad? Not user friendly. Prefer old version because of this. App crashes on initial open. Have to reopen. This is a pain!!!! Why does app keep crashing? Fix the thing or it’s gone!!! And don’t send weather info via voice unless there’s a warning of bad weather!!! I can see the weather is good without an interruption!!!! Work on this!!!!

It takes this app seemingly forever to load because each time one is made to view “the men of stormtrack” (zero women, really?!) and then an even longer ad screen. The excessive length of time the ad screen is present makes me mad every time- do we all really need advertising just to check the temperature?

Why does this app take over the orientation of my iPad. It never opens in landscape and only through rocking it when I’m using it. And afterwards? Really. Who writes the code? Get someone with more interest in the interface and not so much on the info.

Now, in addition to having to wait for the GHC ad to clear (too long!), the background for every page on the app features “The Men of Storm Track.” Ugh. Doesn’t seem to be a way to change it. Sorry, but I’ll be getting my weather updates from another app which focuses on the weather.

Other than the constant advertising I think it’s pretty good. Best local app of its kind I’ve found anyway...

This used to be my fav weather app. Now it is saying this version is not compatible with my iPad & wants me to download the compatible app EVERY DAY!!! Please fix & thank you.

Takes awhile to open the app and to weather data for it to appear. Getting worse than previous version.

Was my go-to weather app until hijacked by game ads every time I wanted to check the radar. I deleted it. It was really good before the dumb ads. We're not talking banner ads, we're talking full screen and difficult to get rid of.

Every time we press "See More" to look at the radar or other features, we are taken instead to a mini-game ad, so we deleted the app. Also, "App Support" here in the App Store listing goes nowhere. It's a broken or outdated link.

The weather alerts and the app were great until the ads started to appear. Give an option for removing ads and I'll likely be back, but for now it's deleted.

Won't open. Keeps going to an ad then just kicks me out.

I just updated recently and every time I open the app it pops up a message about Bluetooth which I have no interest in doing. Both the help menu item and the Feedback menu items are not functional. I guess I still appreciate the weather information, but the pop-up is quite annoying.

I am no longer using your app since this new version is only in portrait. Landscape works better on iPad. I have switched to the Storm app.

This update has made this app much less user friendly. Traffic is buried and not easy to access. The forecast is not as complete. This is just a poor update.

How could a complete redesign have made a bad app worse? Ask these guys...smh

Opens in locked portrait mode, and only map tab has landscape view option. Went back to old app for ipad-friendly viewing. Hope this gets changed before old app is retired.

New update is pretty good, but no landscape mode anymore? Why? Please fix this.

This was great, now it launches in portrait mode on my IPad. Nice update. Please fix.

The new update only allows Portrait mode viewing on the iPad. I view nearly everything in landscape mode. Turning the iPad to view in portrait mode is a real inconvenience. Classic example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Weather videos not updated on a timely basis. Live tv does not work.

This app is really helpful I think you should get it it warned me about severe weather right away!
